How do I set up Geofence Arming Reminders on iOS?

These references and illustrations are based on Apple's iOS 18.7.1. Your experience while making these settings may vary slightly.
Geofence Arming Reminders use your phone’s location services. For any of the remote service's location-based features to work, the app must have full-time access to those location services.

On the Remote Services app:

If your account has more than one Location, select the one where you're making the setting.

1. Touch   (More) and select Settings, then Notifications
2. Turn on Push Notifications
3. Touch Back (at upper left) a couple of times to return to the Home screen.

(Hint: Don't just tap that spot on your screen repeatedly without paying attention. When you reach the Home screen, the Back button is replaced by the Sign Out option and you don't want to press that unintentionally.)

  • Open your phone’s  Settings
  • Scroll down to Privacy & Security and open those settings
  • Open Location Services and turn  on the slide switch at upper right. (There's a good chance it will already be on because many of your phone's features routinely use its Location capabilities.)
  • Scroll down and find the name of your security company's Remote Services app. (Remember that many security companies provide the service with their own branding. Some will offer the app with the branding TC 2.0.
  • If the setting is anything other than Always, tap to open the setting and change it to Always if you want to use any Geofence-dependent feature.
